The case of social media design and promotion for GCS

Case study on social media management and promotion for GCS company
Case study on social media design

Client: GCS (gcs-reefer.com)
Business area: B2B logistics (container and diesel generator rent, sales, and maintenance)
Task: Create professionally designed social media accounts that build trust, reflect the company’s expertise, and attract customers
Service: SMM
Social media: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts

GCS requested to improve their business social media pages. The task involved three levels: developing a strategy, creating a common visual style, and creating content. They had default accounts: no consistent style, no live content, and the YouTube channel contained random Shorts without a strategy. It was important to transform social media into a working marketing tool for B2B sales, rather than just a showcase.

Initial data

  • Instagram and Facebook accounts not aligned with the brand’s objectives.
  • Service descriptions disjointed, lacking emphasis on customer value.
  • No consistent visual style; the feed didn’t convey a sense of expertise.
  • Unstructured content – mostly archived posts.
  • YouTube: chaotic videos without a script or purpose.

First, we audited social media and competitors, identifying key weaknesses. We developed a content plan covering several types of posts: expert posts, visual case studies, on-site videos, behind-the-scenes content, and answers to frequently asked questions from customers.

Solutions

  1. We developed a unified visual style for the feed. The style emphasizes B2B specifics, with references to logistics and industrial design.
  2. We updated profile headers and redesigned the Highlights section—now they clearly highlight the company’s activities and services. We created live content: on-site location photos, short videos, and footage of the team at work.
  3. We developed a list of headings and a posting schedule to ensure varied content is posted regularly.
  4. We adapted videos for Reels and YouTube Shorts formats with captions and a visual identity.
  5. We set up Google Analytics and enabled tracking of basic metrics, including engagement, subscriber growth, website clicks, traffic quality from social media, behavioral factors, and conversions.

Results

As a result of our team’s work, GCS’s social media platforms reached a whole new level. The Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts profiles clearly reflect what the company does, who it helps, and how. The new style, expert content, and team engagement made the accounts vibrant and trustworthy. During the first few months of working with the account, results showed an increase in reach and engagement, as well as an increase in incoming inquiries via direct messages and the website form.
