Limits for cleaning an Instagram account
Limits for a new account (registered less than a week ago):
- Up to 2,000 subscriptions per month;
- Up to 20–40 subscriptions per hour, but no more than 100 subscriptions per day;
For a young account (up to 6 months):
- Up to 3,000–4,000 subscriptions per month;
- Up to 30–60 subscriptions per hour, but no more than 500 subscriptions per day
For an old account (more than 6 months):
- Up to 5,000–6,000 subscriptions per month;
- Up to 60 subscriptions per hour, but no more than 800 subscriptions per day
- No more than 30 people per hour, preferably up to 400 people per day.
Do not block a user, rather remove it from subscribers.
It is also important to clean subscriptions. Be aware that subscriptions are counted in the same way as unsubscribes, and the system summarizes these actions. So, if you have a new account (up to 7 days), unsubscribed from 4,000 accounts per month, and subscribed to 1,000, the total will be 5,000 actions, already exceeding the limit.
How to recognize a bot
It has more than 1000 followers. A person whose followers exceed this number does not see you in the feed.
Please note that a person without an avatar and photos and with a minimum number of subscriptions and subscribers can also be your potential client. Most often, they are adults who don’t want to expose themselves to social media, but monitor your account and place online orders.
In practice, 70% of active profiles look like bots, though it is not a reason to delete them.
Do not use third-party services, as a program does not always delete real robots, while you can delete potential clients. Also, seeing a sharp outflow of the audience, Instagram will think that your content is poor and subscribers run away from you and may begin to reduce posts in the subscribers’ feed. Therefore, remove subscribers slowly and in small batches.
In parallel with cleaning, arrange the traffic of a new audience – set up advertising, or pay for integration with bloggers.
Ideally: remove as many subscribers as have subscribed to you.
